To do this we employ our service called ‘txtbay’. Textbay helps the process of a silent auction by allowing the bidder to bid repeatedly, using their own phone, while still at their table and in the company of their friends but without the need for expensive keypad system or the traditional method of paper, runners and visiting displayed lots.
Texted Bids are displayed on screens
There are no replacements for a well matched lot and bidder for producing a profitable auction, but ‘txtbay’ will help ensure the maximum bid value is extracted before closing the lot.
Bidders use their own mobile phones to text bids for lots presented on screens, print or any other media. The bids are submitted to a ‘short code’ (5 digit telephone numbers for texting only). The bid is prefixed with the keyword ‘LOT + the lot number’ then a space followed by the amount bid.

LOT1 is a weekend for two at a Health Spa.
Bidder would text.
‘LOT1 £250’ to 80010
