How it works… A keyword is set that is associated with the event like ‘Dance’ and then you have the option identifiers of A,B,C or 1,2,3. The audience texts the keyword and the identifier for their preferred option to a short code ’80010′. So a typical text would look like ‘Dance 3′. The service then sorts and displays the results. A final result is achieved in as short a time as 60 seconds. Votes can be restricted to one submission per phone so preventing users voting multiple times. Valid votes can receive confirmation of their vote in a reply text which can also be used to give more contact details or thanks.
