As a specialist in interpretation systems AVD were asked to provide and oversee the language distribution by the broadcaster PI Communications of the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament meeting in Dublin.

AVD supplied a Dante audio network utilising a Sonifex AVN-AI08 and two AVN-AO16R providing 8 audio inputs and 40 audio outputs. This enabled us to provide language feeds where they we needed for multiple web streaming services and multitrack audio recording of the Floor (Original) language  and the interpreted languages of English, French, German and Italian.

The adaptability of the Dante network allowed the configuring of each output to provide the needed languages to specific outputs on specific devices on a decentralised network. The move away from ‘dumb’ analogue 1:10 distribution amps means that every output can be configured and be useful.
